Suzuki will soon recall imported SUVs
2013-2-27
JAPANESE carmaker Suzuki will soon recall 13,227 Jimny sport-utility vehicles imported into the Chinese mainland to fix a steering wheel vibration problem, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said on its website yesterday.
The recall, due to start tomorrow, involves SUVs from model years 2007 to 2013 and made between February 13, 2007 and January 31, 2013 as they fell short of China's compulsory national standards.
Suzuki said the tire vibration on the affected SUVs caused by counter force during driving will be passed on to the front suspension and may then cause the steering wheel to shake. The affected SUVs will be given free auto part replacement.
